There is much to see and do in The Seminole State Forest.
Friends of Seminole State Forest is a 501(c)(3). All proceeds from our fundraisers go to improve the visitors experience at the forest.
We are always looking for volunteers who would like to help with our fun fundraising events such as our Run for the Woods on Super Bowl Sunday. We also have a Tracked Chair volunteer program. Enjoying the outdoors and reconnecting with nature is a good way to counter the stress and anxiety of modern life.
Our Tracked Chair Team makes previously challenging outdoor activities a reality for members of the public with mobility impairments. These hikes are available twice daily every Saturday and Sunday, except holidays.
As a volunteer, you will accompany our program participants and their guests, ensuring they have a enjoyable and safe trip. Trips can run 3 hours, 3.1 miles. You can volunteer for as many (or as few) hikes as your schedule permits.
Volunteers are required to attend a short Tracked Chair training class with our Tracked Chair Program Manager.
